PC Game review - Grand Theft Auto IV review.

Grand Theft Auto IV is a hoot and a half, and a great laugh.

I really enjoyed playing Grand Theft Auto IV, as there are so many things to do in-game. There are things like darts, bowling, strip clubs, comedy clubs (with original comedy acts by Ricky Gervais & Katt Williams), broadway shows, watching T.V., surfing the net, going to a bar (where your camera goes into a 'drunk' mode), and hustling pool. Or, you can complete story missions, or even many side missions such as random civilian encounters, taxi driving, fire-fighting, or crime-fighting. There's also one more option. Run around shooting anything that moves. This is the most fun option, as there are many cars to drive, and many weapons to shoot.


Every weapon in Grand Theft Auto IV feels nice, and every vehicle feels unique and special in it's own way. One of my favourite things to do in Grand Theft Auto IV is to find a bike, steal it, go on a killing spree, (just to get the cops on my back), and then speed along as fast as I can. Eventually a car will pull out in front of you or the police will shoot you. Either way, you will go flying off your bike and land in a sea of blood. The way the bodies mangle is gruesome yet amusing. Falling from a helicopter comes a close second.


Whichever of these things you decide to do in the massive game that is Grand Theft Auto IV, you will feel satisfied, as every portion of the fantastic Grand Theft Auto IV is pulled off perfectly.

Gameplay            11/10

I know it is a bit unorthodox, but damn it, Grand Theft Auto IV is a GREAT game.

Graphics              10/10

Everything in this looks perfect, apart from the VERY rare glitch.

Sound                   10/10

The voice acting and the sound effects are great, and the music is catchy.

Fun                       11/10

Once again, unorthodox, but it is awesome!

Campaign             10/10

Lots of diverse, fun missions.

Replayability        10/10

I could play this until the cows come home, and then I would still be hooked.

Multiplayer          10/10

There are many classic modes, and also multiplayer missions to do, or just free roaming..

Control Scheme   6/10

Controls are good, but there is one common, annoying glitch that won't let you change certain controls.

Originality            10/10

Another great addition to this great, unique game series.

Extras                   4/10

Achievements, but that's about it, really.

Overall score: 92/100

A great score for a great game.
