Command And Conquer: Generals is a decent game, that feels way better with the expansion Zero Hour.
Command And Conquer: Generals is an RTS game from '03, that is quite decent, and I still enjoy playing it. It hasn't got the best looking graphics, but they are good enough. They have a nice feel to them. It has quite catchy music, and the FMV videos (a trademark classic of the series) are, surprisingly, not present. The missions are fun. They get quite complex and hard towards the end of the campaign.
The expansion pack Command And Conquer: Generals Zero Hour adds extra missions to the campaign, 3 new sub-factions to each faction, and even a new campaign-like mode that focuses on these new sub-factions. The sub-factions are specifically different generals of that faction, i.e., General Malcolm Granger, the U.S. Air Force General, whose airplanes are better, but other parts of his army may not. The new campaign mode lets you pick a General, and you have to fight every other general (including a boss general that commands all three factions) in different, pre-planned scenarios. This mode is VERY fun.
Now, for the scoring.
Gameplay 8+2/10
A regular Command & Conquer game but done really well.
Graphics 7+0/10
A bit animated, but they are alright.
Sound 7+1/10
Voice acting is not great but the music is pretty good!
Fun 8+2/10
You will get extreme happiness out of this piece of art.
Campaign 7+3/10
Storyline is good, & the missions are fun. Zero Hour's new Generals mode is EXCELLENT!
Replayability 7+3/10
You might want to play the campaign again (especially the Zero Hour generals mode), and the multiplayer is fun.
Multiplayer 7+1/10
The multiplayer is just like a game of normal Command & Conquer, but better!
Control Scheme 10+0/10
Controls are very easy to use and master.
Originality 7+0/10
This was an excellent sequel to the first major RTS.
Extras 0+0/10
Absolutely nothin'.
Overall score: 68+12/100
Score with expansion: 80/100
Command And Conquer: Generals is an excellent game - but only if you have the expansion Zero Hour.
