PC Game review - Starcraft 2 review.

Starcraft 2 is a good game, but it is more of a graphical update than a sequel.

I am not overly impressed by Starcraft 2, as it is not as good as one would expect. It is made by Blizzard, and they always deliver a great end-product, but this time, it is basically the original game with better graphics. And the graphics aren't that good either. They look very outdated on the character portraits, as you can mainly seen in the wraith. In-game the buildings and units look alright, but I was expecting something more.


The levels are fun, although they feel like they have just done a copy-paste from the old game. The storyline is ok, the voice acting is good, and the music is alright. That doesn't mean the game isn't fun though. It is a solid single-player experience, and a diverse multi-player one. It is not great, but a decent game, that has had too much hype around it.

Just another RTS game, really.

Graphics              6/10

VERY outdated!!

Sound                   6/10

The voice acting & sound effects are mediocre, and the music is too "cowboy-like".

Fun                       6/10

Not very fun, as the units are too expensive, and it is like a waiting game.

Campaign             7/10

Storyline is good and the missions can be interesting.

Replayability        5/10

You wouldn't want to replay the campaign, but with multiplayer and lots of interesting mods, you can play alot.

Multiplayer          7/10

The multiplayer is just like a skirmish. 
Control Scheme   7/10

Controls are very easy, but the F10 for menu is stupid.

Originality            7/10

Another mediocre RTS.

Extras                   5/10

Achievements and mods. Thats it.

Overall score: 63/100

Starcraft 2 is an utter disappointment from Blizzard.
